A Snip-Snip and a Snow Day...Seymour Had a Big Week!

This was a big week for Seymour, the Hollywood Feed foster dog!

He is now 6 months old and a whopping 41 pounds as I found out when he went in to be neutered at Mid-South Spay and Neuter Services this week, which offers low-cost spaying and neutering…check them out. They’re near the University of Memphis!

When I told him what was going to happen to him Wednesday, Seymour was not amused.

While Seymour was under the knife, I watched the weather reports and hoped the promises of a snow day Thursday were true. I drove to pick him up in the rain and was greeted with much more enthusiasm than I expected. I thought I may have to carry Seymour to the car, but he was ready to walk!

Once inside the car, Seymour decided he had been alert for long enough, and he didn’t care to hold his head up any longer. He also seemed to have no regard for his own comfort.

Everybody went to bed, and Seymour slept the night away while we all dreamt of snow...and it really happened!!

Seymour woke up Thursday morning full of energy and seemingly unaware that he had been under anesthesia and had surgery the previous day. He was ready to go! I decided that he could go out to play in the snow as long as he didn't run with my other dogs...so they sat in the snow and their bottoms got cold while they waited their turn...

And Seymour played! All in all, Seymour had a big week, but he doesn't realize it. Just another day in the life of a hard-working Hollywood Feed foster doggy!
