All About that Pit (And the Poodles!)

So...there's this amazing organization right here in Memphis, TN who's volunteers (yes, they're all volunteers) work tirelessly to save and rehome the homeless pets of our community. The Streetdog Foundation was founded in 2009 and since then they've remained committed to placing wonderful companion animals into loving homes. And they've done just that with help from so many people in our community. At Hollywood Feed, we're proud to share this altruistic objective with organizations like Streetdog. By the end of this year, Hollywood Feed will have donated over 100,000 pounds of food to shelters and rescues, held over 300 separate adoption events at our stores, and helped to find homes for over 1,000 animals. It's a small dent in such a huge problem in our country, but it's a dent we are honored to work hard to make.

Hollywood Feed was excited to be a platinum sponsor of The Streetdog Foundation's most recent event, Howl at the Moon. It's a huge privilege to be a part of an event that means so much to the animals of our community. While the event was fun with music, food, and drinks, it was sobering to see pictures of the animals that depend on all of us to help them. The presentation Streetdog volunteers put on made a significant impact on us all, and had me in tears. These precious animals have done nothing to deserve the neglect and abuse so many of them endure. I'm so thankful there are people in our community like Melanie and Kent Pafford (founders of Streetdog) who selflessly give their time, money, and space in their homes to these animals. And I'm so blessed to be a part of a company that cares so much and works so hard to help and support organizations like The Streetdog Foundation.
